How Elsa Pataky became the queen of Byron Bay: Chris Hemsworth’s wife is lavished with praise by local women at a garden party book signing

Chris Hemsworth‘s wife, Elsa Pataky, has won over her neighbours in Byron Bay, after previously ruffling feathers by constructing a $20million ‘mega mansion’.

On Tuesday, dozens of local women praised the 43-year-old actress as ‘inspiring and empowering’ after she hosted a garden party book signing at the Future Dreamers Girls’ Club.

During the laid-back event, Elsa cemented her place within the community by taking photos with guests and personally signing copies of her new lifestyle book, Strong.

After taking a photo together, a woman named Raphaele described to Elsa as ‘super inspiring and beautiful’, and complimented her on her new book.

‘Strong is beautiful, mentally, physically and emotionally, And what I can say is that there is a strong women community here in Byron Bay,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘A lovely morning yesterday being inspired to move and live an active lifestyle by this beautiful woman, Elsa Pataky,’ added Carmen, who also attended the book signing.

‘Step into your own potential and build your inner and outer strength!’

Mel Carrero, who is friends with Elsa and interviewed her on stage at the gathering, also praised the author for wearing a dress from local boutique, Spell.

As dozens of women gathered for the garden party, Elsa gushed over the relaxed Byron Bay lifestyle.

‘There’s a group of my friends here, and we just go and do the lighthouse walk in the morning. How beautiful is that,’ she said.

‘And then you’ve done the exercise for the day and seen an amazing view up at the top and it feels so good. You’re not able to do that in a big city!’

Guests sat on blankets across the lawn as they listened to Elsa passionately about her local community, before meeting her personally.

Elsa, Chris and their three children recently moved into a $20 million ‘mega mansion’ in Broken Head, near Byron Bay, after several years of construction.

Locals had previously criticised the development as ‘too large’, with some dismissing it as a ‘shopping centre’ or ‘car park’ on neighbourhood forums.
